Заметки
MCA Pressing Plant, Gloversville pressing variant of US release.
The text layout used on the labels is slightly different
than on the other very similar version:
℗ 1977 - MCA RECORDS, INC. appears in two lines
of text at the bottom.
Issued with a gatefold sleeve.
This release has a single pressing ring @ 25mm. It also has a printed " ✤ " as a suffix to the Side B label matrix runout.
Note: The clover-like symbol has five petals (leaf), not four. (See image)
Both of these characteristics are indicative of a MCA Records pressing from their Gloversville pressing plant.
Variant 2 runouts also have a "stick (I)" symbol etched into them. This is about 180 degrees away from both matrices in the dead-wax.
The "stick (I)" is also a Gloversville identification mark.
Labels: MCA Records 1st US "black rainbow" label. Title (@ top), band name (just below), both above spindle hole. Side designation on right side label in numerals, 1 & 2. Catalog # on left side label with label matrix runout right below it. All song selections below spindle hole.
Rim text starting at 8 0'clock: ©1973 MCA Record, Inc. MFD by MCA Records, Inc. 100 Universal Plaza, Universal City, Calif. 91608
Catalog number "MCA-2311" can be found on labels, spine, front, rear & inside left cover.
